What the Qi2 foldable stand gives you

Qi2 is the industry standard that brought magnetic alignment to wireless charging beyond Apple, so the phone snaps to the coil instead of being placed near it. The hinge holds either orientation. Landscape is what you want for Apple’s StandBy display on iPhone 14 and newer running iOS 17 or later, which turns the phone into a bedside clock while it charges. Portrait suits a desk, where you are glancing at notifications rather than reading a clock across a room.
